CREWE Vagrants' second team have emerged as champions of their squash league.
After a relatively easy season where they lost just one game, the Vagrants finished top of Division Four South of the North West Counties League.
Now the they looking to make more big strides next season in their new division in a long-term bid to emulate the success of the Vagrants' first team.
Player Paul Spreadbury said: 'We expect to push on now after a great season, hopefully with a couple more new players.
'We only lost the one game last season against AP Club of Holmes Chapel when we had several players missing and our success is largely down to two players, Mark Ormerod and Allan Hughes, being undefeated all year.
'Out of the six or seven people who played for us, we only lost five out of 100 matches between us.'
Four of the Vagrants' second team finished in the top-10 ranked players in the division, including Hughes, who was rated second.
The first team, which includes Cheshire under 19 players Oliver Hudson and Nathan Langley, finished a credible mid-table in Division Two and is aiming for promotion next year.
Crewe Vagrants are looking for more players of all ages and abilities. For more information, phone Bill Farrow on 01270 569506.
