ROWING: Queen's Park High School Rowing Club returned from the Runcorn Autumn Head with six medals.

Dense fog on the Weaver Canal delayed the start but, once clear, the rowers were set off at set intervals.

The WJ14 quad from Queen's Park, Alice Walton, Rose Butters, Amy Jones, Kate Pilling and cox Bridie Collin, were urged to an impressive victory.

In the WJ13 quads, the winning boat was rowed by Queen's Park's Lucy Adam, Leah Morrow, Samantha Young, Caroline Wither and coxed by Molly O'Brien-Manley.

Of the J14 doubles, Chris Thomas and Joe Rowlands were also medal winners in a group of three and in the J15 singles, Marcus Adam was a winner in a group of five.

In the afternoon, three WJ14 singles all from the school competed with one another with Amy Jones the winner. The boys J14 quad containing Chris Thomas, Alex Ross, Ozzie Ghobadi, Joe Rowlands and cox Jack Hopkinson rowed with their usual vigour, winning the group.
