SPORTS teams from Christleton High School have been tasting success at competitions across Cheshire.

There have been victories at county and district events for the school in football, netball, rugby and athletics.

Christleton’s Year 8 football side are the U13s boys Cheshire champions.

They claimed the county crown with a 5-2 win over Wilmslow High School in the final.

Tarporley High School were just unable to make it a double for the Chester area as their Year 8 team lost the U13s girls final to Wilmslow.

Both finals were staged at The King’s School, Chester, and were sponsored by Redrow for the third year in succession.

John Clark, secretary of the Cheshire Schools’ FA, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Redrow for their generous donation and for acting as official sponsors.”
