HALTON and Frodsham Harriers delivered some well deserved results at Forest Park.

In the U11 boys race, Christopher Larkin got the first of the county with a splendid second place in a time of seven minutes and 14 seconds.

Mitchell Collins was in 20th place in 8:38 and Lauchlan Stannier 27th in 9:07. The Harries took the fifth team spot with 49 points.

The club’s U11 girls all packed well in the middle of the field, taking the 4th team place with 43 points.

Isla Bellamy was 13th in 9:18s Natasha Traherne 14th in 9:21, Charlotte King 16th in 9:22 and Alex Ellams 18th in 9:33.

In the U13 boys event, the Harriers’ trio ran very close in the field and were seventh in the team standings.

Billy Young was 17th in 15:13, Joe Davies 25th in 16:43 and Bradley Philips 30th 17:06.

Georgia Aston Massey was the fist of the Harriers home in the U13 girls race, taking the silver medal for second place in a time of 15:07.

She was closely followed by Jess Wright in eighth place in 16:30 and Kiera Grady took the 16th spot in 17:28, which gave the trio the silver medal team award.

The remainder of the squad all packed well, scoring 72 points and finishing seventh for the B team. Charlotte Davies was 20th in 17:28, Jenny Pyatt 24th in 18:14, Emily Ross 28th in 18:43 and Annabel Kitchen 30th in 19:26.

Harriers’ Richard McGeachie was well-placed in the U15 boys race, finishing 11th in 17:56, with Jonathan Ashton 29th in 25:07.

Another club enjoying success was Chester Triathlon Club.

The women’s team of Kirsty Seddon, Bethan Hughes and Kate Litherland took the team silver medal, while the men’s enjoyed individual as well as team glory.

Duncan Harris, Peter Brook, Kenny Begley, Nick Rose, Tom Eagle and David de Winton took the bronze medal in the team event, while Kenny won the bronze medal in the Vet 45 category, despite a fall in the mud, and Duncan took silver in V40.

Matthew Hulse, who is from Helsby but represents Warrington AC, struck gold in the U15 boys race, clocking 15:30.
