THE Tattenhall ladies team put on a superb display to claim a bronze medal at the Cheshire Cross Country Championships.
Jo Marsden ran brilliantly, returning from injury to come 11th on the frozen ground at Knight’s Grange, Winsford.
Sara Atkinson and Amanda Davies slugged it out together to finish 18th and 19th respectively to complete Tattenhall’s trio, watched and encouraged by cross country captain Mike Whiteside who adds another gong to his collection.
Tattenhall’s men didn’t manage to field a full team, but two of their strongest runners had great outings. Kenneth Svendsen put himself into contention for county selection by finishing eighth and Simon Ellis was 28th.
