CLUB members put in a determined effort at Reasheath College on Saturday.
While the club did not secure any medals at the Cheshire County Cross Country Championships, members did register some good finishes.
Richard McGeachie ran well in the under 17 men’s race, taking 14th place in 26 minutes and 45 seconds.
U15 girl Keira Grady had a good 10th place in her event, finishing in 14:51, and may well have qualified for a place on the Cheshire team to run in the national championships.
The U13 boys did well, taking the seventh team spot with 60 points. Chris Larkin was eighth in 13:41, Jacob Birtles 21st in 14:28, James Ennis 31st in 15:41 and Luke Southerton 32nd in 15:44.
Halton and Frodsham’s U13 girls also combined to take the seventh team place with 64 points. Their scorers were: Emily Howard, 20th, 17:14; Esther Wilson, 21st, 17:15; Eleanor Jones, 23rd, 17:55.
Owen Jones was the club’s lone U11 boy. He took 24th place in his event, clocking 12:04.
In the U11 girls race, Isla Bellamy finished in 17th place in 12:04 and Orla McEvoy was 28th in 13.47.
