IT was a weekend full of prizes for Chester Triathlon Club runners.

At the Village Bakery Half Marathon in Wrexham, Kelly Crickmore won and set a new course record with a time of 78 minutes 32 seconds.

Chester Tri colleague Chris Prior was second in the men’s race in 71:47.

There were age group prizes too for Gill Mead, winning the FV45 class in 85:54, and Kyle Williams, who was second junior man in 1.42:32.

Denis Duret was third in the V45 section in 81:12. David Tait (82:08), Neil Thomas (84:48), Steve Walker (86:33) and Ravi Jayaram (89:38) all broke 90 minutes.

They were followed by Lisa Grantham (94:52), Andy Lilley (96:05), John Peaker (1.46:15), Julian Evitts (1.49:29), Charlotte Ratcliffe (1.51:12), Emily Maxfield (1.56:12), Dave Bottoms (1.58:57) and Jim Barrow (1.59:04).

Finishing in just outside two hours were Susie Woods (2.00:07), Dave Reid (2.11:40), Dave Weildon (2.13:00) and Nathalie Rees (2.14:10).

At the Parbold Hill Race, Chester Tri’s Alex Hall was fifth overall in 44:34 while Lisa Grantham won her age group in 56:28.

At the Fearless Mountain Bike Duathlon, Jan Rogers was second female finisher.
