ATHLETICS: Members of Tattenhall Runners made a huge improvement on last year's times when they took part in the seven-mile Briedden Hills Fell Race.
The sixth race in Tattenhall's championship series, it started from outside Criggion Village Hall and involved three main ascents over tracks and fields.
Tattenhall's first finisher was Simon Ellis, who was 13th in 61 minutes, 52 seconds.
The biggest improver of the day was Sarah Hammond who shaved nearly 10 minutes of her time from last year to finish as the first lady and 26th overall in 64.58.
