ROWING: Grosvenor RC collected more than 30 tankards from Bewdley Regatta last weekend.

The veteran squad continued their successful season by winning all of the C class events. In the fours, Jeremy Lush, Ad Gideonse, Ian Tweedie and Mike Allwood, coxed by Sue Bein, beat Evesham in the final.

The four then teamed up with Tony Churchill, John McMahon, Pete Abbott and Paul Larby, again coxed by Sue Bein, to claim the eights title.

The men's senior two four of Tom Fussey, Al Slinn, Chris Hudson and Mark Devaney, coxed by Sarah Armstrong, beat Pengwern by two lengths in their final and Devaney narrowly lost in the final of the novice sculls.

Andy Gosmore and Eion Ryan raced together for the first time as a pair and collected the senior four title on both days.

A coxed senior four crew of Alberto Reinoso, Rich Cole, Jac Wardle and Eion Canty, coxed by Jo Caunt, beat local rivals Royal Chester to earn a place in the final where they were defeated by Wallingford Rowing Club.

But the four went on to earn their place in the final of the same event the following day and beat a Weybridge and Walton composite crew.

On Sunday, the senior four eight of Dave Hill, Eion Ryan, Andy Gosmore, Guillame Appert, Jac Wardle, Karl Shone, Tom Johnson and Eion Canty, coxed by Jo Caunt, beat Gloucester Rowing Club in the final and the women's squad also fielded several crews including an eight that narrowly missed out on a title, losing in the final to Wallingford Rowing
