Second-placed Goshawk B were well beaten at Castle Park B.
Also defeated were third-placed Kings-wood B at Pavilions B (Les Harrington 21-5) who move up to fourth position. Conservative Club A just got home against Sub-scription A after George Smart (21-5) had triumphed for the Runcorn visitors.
Runcorn Hill (Jim Colley 21-5) were home winners over Pavilions E (Tony Friar 21-7) while Subscription B's Gordon Strange had a fine home win over War Memorial B.
In Division Three, Helsby A (Ken Roberts 21-3), home winners over Conservative Club B, move up to second.
Kingsley A lost at Kingswood A, despite a 21-7 card from Bev Brooks but remain third.
Willow Brook B (Ron Evans 21-7) lead Division Four after winning at Kingsley B. Helsby C only just won at home to Halton B to hold on to second spot from Egerton B who lost at Overton.
