ATHLETICS: Paula Radcliffe missed out on breaking her world record at the Run London Nike 10k in Hyde Park but was happy to "blow away the cobwebs" as the countdown to the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne next March begins.

Radcliffe ran 32 minutes 19 seconds - her world record is 30--21 - in the mixed race, won by Isle of Man 19-year-old Keith Gerrard in 31:08.

Britain's world marathon record holder Radcliffe was third overall and will now race again on Saturday for her club Bedford & County at the National Four-Stage Road Relays in Birmingham.
