LAND MARK WIN: Barry Hills celebrated hils 150th winner at Chester yesterday in the showcase Chester Cup race.

And a remarkable achievement was made even more special as the horse – Daraahem – was ridden by his son, Richard.

“It’s a race that’s dear to my heart,” said Berkshire-based trainer Hills. “That’s been the plan for a long time.

“Every winner means a lot but my 150th at Chester is a landmark.”

Daraahem, sent off at 7-1, won by a neck after a brave run up the rail to pass second-placed Ajaan and Hallasan in third.
