A KART racer from Tarvin has wrapped up a highly successful season.

Dan Edwards won three of the four main titles he went for in 2012.

Edwards, who races in the 125cc open class, won the British Superkart Association National Championship, the British Superkart Grand Prix title and also retained the Stars of Darley Geoff May Memorial Trophy.

He travelled to Donnington Park for his final British Superkart Racing Club race of the season, leading the club championship by 20 points.

But he missed out on a clean sweep of titles after his engine seized in his first race. After a hasty rebuild, he went on to win race two – but missed out on the championship by three points.
