JENNY Tinmouth’s impressive end-of-season form continued at Silverstone at the weekend.

The 33-year-old from Ellesmere Port made it into the points for the fourth British Supersport Championship race running.

Tinmouth overcame a disappointing practice session to quality 17th for the opening race at the iconic circuit.

The Isle of Man TT female lap record holder started poorly but battled back to finish 15th and claim a single point. She improved on that performance in race two, enjoying a thrilling battle with the high-flying Gary Johnson before settling for an excellent 12th-placed finish and four more points.

Tinmouth said: “That was one of the best, fun races I’ve ever had – swapping places with Gaz on the last couple of laps and crossing the line together. Mega chuffed.”

Tinmouth, who started the season by becoming the first female rider to race in the British Superbike Championship before dropping back into the Supersport, completes her campaign at Brands Hatch in 10 days time.
