MARK Grafton produced an excellent display to win Sunday's Willaston AC match on the Lingmere Fishery, taking carp and skimmers for 33-10-0.

James Hughes was runner-up with similar for 21-15-0 while Paul Farquar put 14-4-0 on to the scales.

Rod N'Reel had a mediocre time on Sunday's penultimate match of the Heronbrook Fishery Spring League as they landed 11th place on the day to remain in the top 10 overall.

Carl Fletcher was their top weigher with 32-12-0 of carp while John Woodrow had 21-4-0 of the same and Lee Saville took 13-6-0.

Ellesmere Port members completed a clean sweep in Sunday's Manley AC match on the Old Hall farm pool.

Chris Pitchford and Dave Nadit shared first place, both taking tench and rudd for 2-8-0, while Billy Bristow and Barry Higgins came joint third with 1-14-0 each.

Dave Grimes ended the day in first place in Saturday's Rivacre AC match on the Blundells Fishery, taking hybrids and a few fantail goldfish for 30-15-0.

Next up were Billy Gore with 15-14-0 and Jason Connah on 15-7-0.

Graham Aveyard was on top in Saturday's Wirral Borough Council AC match on the Snake pool at the Milton Green Fishery, taking a net of carp and barbel for 14-10-0.

Ricky Arneuad had a carp-based 10-12-0 while Jamie Stewart took a 9-10-0 bag of carp and barbel.

Steve Doughty of Neston enjoyed his trip to the Burton Mere Fishery last week as he took a massive 22-8-0 mirror carp to a boilie.

Members of the Capenhurst Flyfishers found the going hard when they fished from boats on the Trawsfynydd lake.

Brian Ritchie led the way with a catch of five rainbows for 7-4-0, his best a 2-0-0 fish taken to small flies.

Dennis Need followed with four rainbows for 6-4-0 while Graham Knox had three fish for 5-0-0.

Colin Baynes of Ellesmere Port recorded the top catch of last week on the Dearnford Hall Trout Fishery at Whitchurch as he took an 8-2-0 rainbow to a black buzzer.
