Helsby D (Bruce Garner 21-8) won at Castle Park A but Chetwode A lost at Willow Brook despite a 21-2 card from John Pace.

Leaders Kingswood B (John Sailsbury 21-7) triumphed at Runcorn Hill while second-placed Tiger's Head A followed suit at third-placed War Memorial B in Division Two.

Subscription A (Arthur Braddock 21-7) were too good for their B team, despite a 21-3 from Alan Guest and they move up to fourth.

Pavilions B (Lew Darlington 21-5) saw off visiting Castle Park B but Pavilions E went down at Conservative Club A mainly due to a 21-3 win by Mal Cleworth.

Leaders Grapes B scored well but still lost at Tiger's Head B, Crowton scraped home against Conservative Club B to stay in second spot.

Spinner and Bergamot slipped up at home to Kingsley A despite a 21-1 win from Ron Venables.

The pick of the visitors' six wins came from Bev Brooks (21-6) whose team moved into third place with Spinner dropping to fourth.

Home wins were achieved by Helsby A against Rock Park and Kingswood A (Barry Stopford 21-0) over War Memorial A.

Helsby C's (Mike Kinsey 21-6) remain top of Division Four following a home win over Norton Arms B (Mark Hughes 21-2).

Egerton B (A Hatton 21-4) stay second despite losing at third-placed Pavilions C (Peter Dumbill 21-3).

Fourth-placed Willow Brook B won at Rock Park Ramblers who had a 21-4 card from Dave Edwards.

There was a rare win for Kingsley B (Mary Miller 21-6) against Overton while Chetwode B (Les Holah 21-2) beat Manley B.
