NANTWICH star hurdler Katey Read makes her full outdoors England debut in Norway today.

The 20-year-old, from Wrenbury, won her first international vest in an indoor meeting in Norway in February, when she took 60m hurdles gold in a personal-best time of 8.33 secs.

Her stunning form has continued and, outdoors, she has bettered her fastest time for the 100m hurdles in every race. Her current pb of 13.68secs places her sixth on the GB senior list and second in the GB U23 ranks.

Now she has been selected for today's meeting in Stavanger. Her coach, Graham Knight, said it is a tough assignment for the trainee midwife.

'Katey will face the classiest field of her life, including world indoor champion Derval O'Rourke from Ireland, two world championship finalists in Canadian Angela White and Adrianna Lamalle, from France, and Sara McGreavy, who is ranked first in GB indoors in 2007, and is Katey's training par tner.'
