Jenny Tinmouth was disappointed with her performance at Silverstone at the weekend, despite registering two top-25 finishes in the penultimate round of the British Superbikes championship.

In race one the Ellesmere Port rider struggled to find pace and finished 25th on her Honda CBR1000RR, but race two saw the 36-year-old improve her lap times by 0.9seconds to come home 23rd.

But Honda Racing rider Tinmouth was less than pleased with her placings.

Race one was OK, I made a good start but unfortunately made a few mistakes and lost out to the group so it was a bit of a lonely race for me,” said Tinmouth, who will race next at Brands Hatch on October 16-18.

“It was the same again for race two, I had a good start and managed to stick closer with the group in front of me, which improved my lap times. Both the results are not where I wanted to be, but it’s progress and am looking forward to Brands.”

Honda Racing team manager Havier Beltran added: "For Jenny I know that she’s not happy with her results and where she finished, but she’s always improving and building her confidence on the CBR. We have some direction now and know where we can improve heading to Brands."
