BUFFS had Cricketers on the run in the eighth round of Widnes & District Darts League's Cheshire Roof Trusses 501 League.

The RAOB side won the first six games through Ray Dutton (180), Tez Gallagher, D Batty and, in the pairs, Bill Jones & Ted Cafferty, Ray Dutton & Tez Gallagher and Damian Eustace & D Batty.

Cricketers stemmed the onslaught through Tony Lang-ford.

But the evening unquestionably belonged to Buffs, who completed an 8-1 rout through Darren Grant and Damian Eustace (19 darts).

Mill Brow went down 6-3 to visiting Halton Stadium despite coming from behind early doors.

The Stadium opened the scoring through Eric Peel and while Brow's Stuart Bousfield replied, John Bowles restored the away side's advantage.

Brow recovered to lead 3-2 after doubles wins from John Glover & Greg Lawrenson and Karl Windisch & Stuart Bousfield.

However, Stadium pounded home with four in a row through pairs colleagues Joe Price & Joe Brown and, on returning to the singles, Joe Price, Barry Stanners and Phil Corless.

Our Mike's went down 6-3 at home to WBC for whom Alan Magee (15 darts) and Kenny Murphy set the early tone.

Our Mike's retaliated through R Pichilingi but Bowler pairs Kenny Murphy & Peter Bowles and Tex Bowles & Ben Lyons took their team further away.

Our Mike's reduced the deficit to one with successive victories - M Lunt pairing up with Barry Shanahan before also winning his individuals leg.

With the issue back in the balance, Bowler ensured they claimed the spoils.

They took the final two legs through Peter Bowles and J Batty (19 darts).
