BOXING: ELLESMERE Port's former professional ace Lee Holmes has become a big hit in his new role as a coach at Vauxhall Motors ABC.
The 28-year-old who made his name as an amateur with the club is a favourite with the youngsters at Vauxhall's Station Road gym in Little Sutton.
Head coach Peter Phelan said: 'Lee passed his coaching course when he was an amateur and we always said we'd welcome him back when he relinquished his professional licence. He's got a bit of flare with the youngsters, many of whom came to support him as a professional, and he's already a big hit at the gym. He's even told me he wants my job - eventually.'
