BEBINGTON Ladies kicked off the second half of the season with a 3-2 defeat away to Timperley 4ths.
It was a close contest early on, with Timperley scoring a breakaway goal. Bebington equalised from a good tap-in by Laura Ashlin, but Timperley scored again before half time.
The visitors continued to push and scored a good third goal before excellent work from Sharon Steadman and Amy Henderson produced a cross that was well finished by Jo Heydon.
Although Bebington continued to push forward, they were unable to find a leveller.
