RESULTS from the final round of the North West Sportshall League staged at the Kingsway Leisure Centre, Widnes, have taken three of Halton and Frodsham Harriers' age group squads into the finals.

The under 11 girls plus the U13s and U15 boys can expect to compete at Wigan on Sunday, March 18.

In the U11 girls four-lap event, Emma Pyatt clocked 1:03.00 for third A points and Emma Scott 1:04.7 for first in the B.

The pair also teamed up in the triple jump where Scott's 5m leap secured the A runners-up spot and

Pyatt's 4.74m second place in the B.

Jess Wright's tally of 51 won the A speed bounce with Martha Cottrell (48) taking the second B spot.

Amy Pearson won the A long jump with 1.90m and Martha triumphed in the B with 1.64m.

Amy had a 5.50m best for second in the A chest push, Maisie Ford's 5.25m landing second B points.

Amy, Emma Scott, Shelby Jack and Jess won the relay in 2:01.8.

James Crosby, Ashley Pye, and Miles Wardrop were U13 boys representatives.

Ashley (A, 26.9) and James (B, 28.7) set a double first in the two-lap.

The pair also took seconds at speed bounce with Ashley scoring 75 in the A class and James 67 in the B.

There were vertical jump second places for Miles (A, 39cm) and Ashley (B, 37cm).

James had a long-jump best of 1.80m for second A points, and Miles' 1.58m earned second B spot.

Nathan Dawson opened the U15 boys events with a third in the A two lapper with 25.7, Mike Fryer the B runner-up (27.4).

In the six-lap run, David Tomalin (1:32.5), and Sam Ford (1:37.4) both clinched six-lap runners-up spots as the A and B stringers, respectively.

David (A, 6.76m) and Mike with (B, 6.60m) were triple-jumping r unners-up.

Speed-bounce honours went to Mark Coman (3rd A, 75) and David (1st B, 71).

A-event long jump runner-up Nathan had a best of 2.39m while Mark chipped in with 2.27m as the B winner.

Mike (2nd A 7.79m), and Mark (2nd B, 6.87) scored in the shot put while a time of 1:45.5 earned fourth for the relay quartet.
