ATHLETICS: Halton & Frodsham Harriers rounded off their winter indoor sportshall season with a sparkle.

Medals of all denominations came their way at the North West League finals in Wigan where the U13s boys finished third and the U13s girls in fourth.

Top billing went to Nathan Dawson who took gold in the standing long jump with a fine leap of 2.28m while a 51.0 run brought him silver in the four-lap race.

Amelia Connor hit the headlines with two silvers - in the vertical jump with 52cms and in the standing long jump with 2.16m.

Claire Perry and Aiofe Haymer shared silver in the speed bounce with 81 each.

Amelia qualified for the two-lap final and took fourth spot in 23.6s.

David Tomalin's four-lap bronze in 51.5 was backed up the silver won by Nathan Dawson.

Mark Coman won six-lap bronze in 79.0 and Mike Fryer did the same in the standing triple jump.
