HALTON & Frodsham Harriers hosted the first outdoor event of the season - opening-round matches in the Cheshire Track & Field League at Deeside Stadium, Connah's Quay.
Jess Wright and Ellie Hayes opened the scoring for the U11s girls with times of 13.5 secs and 14.4 secs in the 75m sprints, Martha Cottrell running 13.3 in a non scoring race.
Jess was runner-up at 600m (2 mins: 04.2 secs).
In the long jump, she enjoyed a great victory with a best of 3.47m, Ellie taking fourth (2.12m).
Martha (8.35m), and Ellie (6.66m) won the third-place points in the A and B soft javelin.
In the 4x100m relay, Martha, Ellie, Jenny Pye and Jess finished third in 66.2 secs.
Andrew Cunniffe, Richard McGeachie and Adrian Bennett were the three competing in the U11s boys.
Andrew took third spot in 11.8 secs as the A runner in the 75m while B-stringER Adrian claimed fifth in 13.3 and Richard clinched third C points with 12.4.
Richard was also third over 600m (2:04.9) with Adrian 12th in 2:25.6.
In the long jump, Richard's 3.58m put him third in the A band.
Andrew leapt 3.40m for the second B spot and Adrian scored points at soft javelin with his 8.08m effor t.
Emma Scott, Holly Weather-all, Hannah Clement, Emma Pyatt, Maisie Ford and Heidi Bennett were all newcomers to the U13 age group for girls - joining Amy Wright.
In the 100m, Emma Scott finished fourth in the A race with 15.7 secs.
Holly (fourth B, 17.4), Amy (third C, 16.0), and Hannah (fourth D, 18.9) scored in the same discipline.
Emma Pyatt (2: 48.0), Emma Scott, (3:05.7), Maisie, (3:16.7), and Amy (3:17.2) were contributors in the 800m.
The two Emmas contested the long jump, each claiming fourth places - Pyatt taking the fourth A points with 3.06m while Scott's 2.87 came in the B.
In the discus, Amy threw 16.79 for runnerup A points while Maisie had a best of 9.64 (3rd B).
The two Emmas, Holly and Amy, took fourth place in the relay (64.9).
Ashley Pye was the only Harriers competitor in the U13 boys section.
He scored at 200m with 30.4 secs and had a splendid throw in the shot put of 5.12m.
Amelia Connor (2nd A, 13.8) and Brogan Ashley (5th B, 17.2) spearheaded Harriers U13 girls' 100m challenge.
David Tomalin, Nathan Dawson, Liam Renton, Mike Fryer and Mark Coman took on the U15 boys opposition.
They started with three thirds in the 200m - by David (A, 28.3), Nathan (B, 27.4) and Liam (C, 31.9)
Liam was also third over 1,500m with 5:01.00 and Mark two places back (5m.09.3s), with Mike ending up ninth (5:.38.1).
Long jumpers Mark (4.31m) and Nathan (4.28) took fourth A and second B points. Mike's discus throw of 16.31m secured second A points while David had a winning B throw of 13.44m.
David, Mark, Mike and Nathan came home winners in the relay in 55.2s.
Matthew Evans turned out in the senior men's events and scored valuable team points.
He opened with 14.2 secs for fifth in the 100m, following up with seventh over 800m in 3:06.4 while making a scoring mark in the javelin (5.57m).
