BETH Tweddle covered herself in more golden glory on Sunday.
Weeks after winning double gold at the European Championships in Italy, the Bunbury gymnast twice topped the podium at the Glasgow Grand Prix.
Tweddle, 24, won the floor and asymmetric bars events in an excellent weekend for the Great British team.
Her score of 15.275 in the bars could not be matched, while in the floor exercise she got a wonderful reception from the crowd for her routine, which showed marvellous tumbles as well as excellent leaps for 14.9 points.
Former Chester Queen’s School pupil Tweddle led the way with her double gold haul as the GB team won six medals.
Louis Smith and Daniel Keatings won gold and bronze respectively on the pommel, while Becky Downie claimed silver on the bars and Kristian Thomas took floor silver.
Next on Tweddle’s list of targets is this Sunday’s British Team Championships in Guildford, where her City of Liverpool club will be defending their title.
Tweddle also has one eye on the World Championships, which take place in London later this year.
