ICONIC golf commentator Peter Alliss found time to visit Helsby Golf Club after covering the Scottish Open to make a special presentation.
He was the guest of honour as Helsby presented two powered wheelchairs to two young disabled people in the name of Alliss’ charity, the Powered Wheelchair Crusade.
Ben Moss, 10, from Alsager, and Adam Edge, 14, from Macclesfield, were the recipients of the chairs, paid for by money raised during fundraising competitions and sponsorship by Helsby over the past 12 months.
These chairs took Helsby’s tally to 252 wheelchairs donated since the club began supporting the crusade 26 years ago.
