THE Curzon Salver was up for grabs at Chester Golf Club on Sunday.
More than 160 golfers took part in the mixed open betterball competition
The winners – Martin Jones and Melanie Price (42pts) – came from Padeswood and Buckley Golf Club. C and J Jones finished second with 40pts and were also from the Flintshire club. M and J Scholes of Mold GC were third with 40pts.
Heavy rain greeted members of Chester Golf Club for the annual Chester Festival.
More than 100 lady golfers from clubs across the city took part. The winners were Sandra Buttery and Alison Bluck (Vicars Cross GC) with a nett score of 80.2. Best gross winners were Maggie Skinner and Pat Willis (Chester GC) with 95.
