OULTON Park stages the Gold Cup on Monday and race fans will be able to see a modern F1 car on the circuit for the first time in eight years.

Traditionally a showcase for some of the country's best historic motorsport, the Gold Cup features racing from classic sports cars and F1 machinery.

But a Minardi F1 V10 engined car will also be showcased, along with three decades of evocative rally cars.

No less than five former World Championship winning cars will be in action, including Carlos Sainz's 1992 Toyota Celica and Didier Auriol's 1990 Martini Lancia Delta Integrale, as well as Malcolm Wilson's Austin Rover Metro 6R4.

Tickets for the Gold Cup cost £16 on the gate for Sunday and £21 for Monday. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free.
