RUNCORN Rowing Club attracted a record 62-crew entry for their Eights Head on the Weaver Navigation at Clifton village.

Emily Hignell, Jenny Shaw, Nicola Snelson and Chloe Sheward were Saturday's medal-winning Women's Junior-16 quad.

They finished 28th overall in Division A - one place and just under 17 seconds behind their women's Junior-18s colleagues, Kirsty Newton, Becky Hoose, Rachel Clayton and Alex Parkinson.

Runcorn club members also took medals in composite Division B crews with Trafford and Stoke.
