Baz Connor's 69-31 helped HGSC B triumph 7-2 at home to Bowling Club while Farnworth B, last season's surprise package, eased home 6-3.

Veteran Harry Bates' 80-27 win highlighted Widnes Cricket Club B's 8-1 demolition of Mill Brow in Division Three.

Meanwhile young leader Chris Featherstone inspired Stadium C's 8-1 romp at Birchfield.

Early frontrunners United Services B cruised home 7-2 at Simms Cross B while main rivals Moorfield C crushed Halebank-based Oddies 8-1 with father and son Dennis and James Condron in control.

Prescot Reform (Colin Mc-Carthy 99-16) still look the most impressive team in the division after their 7-2 success against dark horses Farnworth E. Conservative Club B triumphed 7-2 with Paul Gallagher (75-22), Dave Whittle (72-26) and Leo Milne (75-26) setting the standard.

Widnes Rec destroyed Farn-worth B 6-1 in the battle of Widnes Billiards League's top two to snatch the leadership.
