WINNINGTON Park Ladies saw off Brook-lands 4-1 thanks to a superb display from Karen Morgan, who scored all four goals.

Brooklands were organised, disciplined and determined and it took Park 25 minutes to break the deadlock. Morgan went around three defenders into the D on the right, drew the keeper and scored from an acute angle.

She made it two when an aerial ball from Julie Dunn was picked up by Chris Davies, who passed it on to Morgan to round the keeper and hit the back board.

The third goal came from a good move down the right. Morgan received a pass and hit the ball early and hard - the keeper got to it but the power forced it through.

Morgan's fourth was possibly the best of the game, coming after a great pass out of defence to Eileen Miller, who slipped it to Leona Trimble to cross for Morgan to slam home.

The first XI face Wigton at home on Saturday at 2pm.

The 2nd XI won 5-3 after extra-time and flicks against Wilmslow 2nds.

Park went ahead in first half after a good finish from Ellie Capstick, though Wilmslow made it 2-1. Time was running out when Nic Jackson deflected a cross from Hayley Holmes to make it 2-2 and take the tie into extra time.

The visitors again went ahead but Jackson scored from a straight strike on a short to make it 3-3, before flicks settled it, Helen Egerton saving all Wilmslow's attempts.
