CELEBRATIONS filled the Travellers Rest in Little Sutton after the Ellesmere Port Sunday League side won the Kingkabs Cup.

Goals from Danny Lynch, Phil Evans and Brian Taylor were enough for ‘the Travs’ to complete a 3-1 victory over Seahorse.

In Shell Premier Division, Grace suffered a 2-1 defeat at home to Westminster while Bull Groves enjoyed their visit to ITCL Gunners after a 4-0 verdict.

In Shell Division One, Marquis smashed visiting Bull 7-1.

Great Sutton Ladies U12s reached the semi-final of the KO Cup as star performer Holly McDonough scored twice in their 2-0 win over Witton Albion.

The U14s however suffered an agonising 3-2 defeat in their Champions League semi-final clash with Sandbach.

Star girl Amber Senior and Freddie Littlewood netted for Sutton but it wasn’t enough.

Coach Steve Simmons said: “It was a hard way for the girls lose, but they have been outstanding all season and should be very proud.”
