THORNE Plumbing & Heating have booked their place in the George Williamson Memorial Jubilee Cup final, thanks to an emphatic 4-2 semi-final win over The Cat.

Tony Ashton (2), Mike Banks and Graham Davidson all netted for Thorne, while a Chris Gear brace was not enough to prevent The Cat being knocked out.

It was a tense affair in the Stan Dukes Memorial Cup Semi final, as Woodlands prevailed 3-2 in a tight clash with Westminster.

Chris Martin, Ben Harvey and Mike Davis were the Woodlands heroes, with Paul Jones and Carl Frost replying for Westminster.

In Division One, Old Wirral Hundred drew 2-2 with Grange Athletic. Paul Williams and Ashley Rowlands scored for Wirral, Ross Crimes and Sam Schroeder netted for Grange Athletic.

Travellers Rest were well beaten by Hope Farm Rangers 5-0. Mike Gibb (2), Steve Cato (2) and Paul Jones were on target for Hope.

SCFC went down 3-1 at home against Sutton Melfix. A Phil Evans brace complemented a Danny Lynch strike for Melfix. Tony Wedge was the scorer for SCFC.

Good Friday sees Gleve Motors away to Westminster, while another semi final in the Stand Dukes Memorial Cup take place on Sunday as Grace Farm play The Cat.

In the George Williamson Memorial Jubilee Cup semi final Westminster will play Sutton Melfix.

In the Ellesmere Port Sunday League, Grace Arms Reserves are at home to SCFC 94, and Travellers Rest are at Grange Athletic.
