THORNE Plumbing & Heating got their hands on the Stan Dukes Memorial Cup on Sunday.

A 3-0 victory over Grace Arms saw Thorne seal victory in the final of the Ellesmere Port Sunday League competition.

In the day’s only Premier Division fixture, Tom Cardus scored twice to give Westminster a 2-0 victory over RWJ FC. In Division One, Cheshire Yeoman beat SCFC 4-1 and Travellers Rest overcame Sutton Marquis 3-2.

Mark Winsdale scored twice for Vauxhall Motors Reserves in Division One of the West Cheshire League on Saturday. Ben Tolett also chipped in as Cammell Laird Reserves were beaten 3-1.

In Division Two, Steve Morgan scored his side’s only goal as Capenhurst Villa lost 4-1 to South Liverpool.

Willaston went down 2-0 at Marshalls.

In Division Three, Ellesmere Port Reserves lost 5-0 at home to Redgate Rovers but Capenhurst Villa Reserves triumphed 3-0 at Merseyside Police.
