ELLESMERE Port Town Ladies have clinched the Cheshire Women’s League title with three games of the season to spare.

They claimed the Division One championship on Sunday after beating neighbours Vauxhall Ladies 8-0.

The goals came from Nat Neary (2), Toni Livens (2), Sian Clowes, Amber Senior, Kerry Brown and Lindsay Taylor.

Port manager Steve Simmons said: “The players have worked so hard all season and they have got what they deserved.

“It’s fantastic.”

It proved to be a memorable weekend for the club as their under 14s team won while their U16s reached the Cheshire Cup final, beating Macclesfield 4-3.
