MOTORS are offering children free entry to the Motassist Arena to both of next week’s home games.

The deal will allow children to see Motors face Cumbrian side Workington on Saturday (3pm) and Blyth Spartans in a rearranged league match on Tuesday (7.45pm).

The Spartans game will not be confirmed until after their FA Cup tie on Saturday, as any replay would take place on Tuesday, forcing Motors to reschedule the game again.

Motors boss Carl Macauley has signed Barrow’s prolific striker Nick Rogan on a one-month loan.

The 24-year-old scored 21 goals last season as Barrow won promotion into the Blue Square Premier.

He has 38 goals in 111 appearances for the club but is still trying to regain his fitness after an injury lay-off.

Motors are hoping he can rediscover his scoring touch to help kick-start their season.

Motors took on Southport at Haig Avenue last night – a match played after the Pioneer had gone to press.
