TWO sides racked up a magnificent seven goals in the Ellesmere Port Sunday League’s George Williamson Memorial Challenge Cup.

The Cat booked their place in round two with a 7-0 success against White Swan, their goals coming from Chaney Lloyd (3), Lee McTigue (2), Jordan Brierley and an own goal.

Woodlands were also in good goalscoring form as strikes from Ryan Nicoll (2), Danny Riley (2), Kirk McMurray, Rob Little and Lee Chadwick saw them account for Castrol Villa 7-1.

Carl Frost was a hat-trick hero for Westminster as they brushed aside Sir Robert 5-0.

Bull Groves needed goals from Simon Thelwell (2) and Mark McCaffrey to see off The Bull 3-1, while goals by Mike Urmston, Mark Livens and John Haddock were enough for Marquis as they beat ITCL Gunners by the same score.

A double from Mike Ball set Hope Farm Rangers on their way to a 3-1 victory over Old Wirral Hundred, while Neil McKinnon and Richie Martin bagged braces for Wing Half as they saw off Seahorse 6-3.

Following last week’s draw, Great Sutton Ladies under 14s got back to winning ways.

Striker Emily Walker was in fine form as they enjoyed a 4-1 success over Bradwell Belles.

Walker put Sutton ahead after 10 minutes with the first of her three goals, and completed her hat-trick just before half time. Sutton continued to dominate in the second half and added a fourth from long range through midfield playmaker Lauren Spruce.
