CHESTER stages day two of the Dee Festival meeting tomorrow afternoon, the final action of another top Roodee season.

The Listed race is the totesport.com Henry Gee Fillies Stakes run over six furlongs. Indian Maiden finished over two lengths in front of All For Laura in a similar contest when both fillies were badly drawn and the two entries merit support.

Pivotal's Princess has had a break since finishing fifth at Ayr back in July and should go close. Sierra Vista hails from the yard of sprint specialist David Barker and is in sparkling form. Given a favourable low draw, the five-year-old is expected to follow up her success at Haydock.

Catering Equipment Solutions UK Ltd sponsor the seven-furlong Nursery where any Mick Channon declared entry should be shortlisted. Dark Islander was disappointing at Salisbury three weeks ago and the selection at the five-day stage is Weekend Fever who scored in good style last time out at Hamilton.

There is a classy feel to entries in the European Breeders Fund Conditions Stakes. City Of Troy came from behind to win on his debut at Newbury on July 16 and is sure to improve for the course experience. Art Deco won his maiden at San-down last month and Dream Fantasy also puts up an unbeaten record. Private Business is a course and distance winner and should have the ability to repeat his August win.

Racing begins at 2.10pm with the Carlsberg UK EBF Maiden Stakes. Trainer Barry Hills may gain an early win with Broken Spur, who has enjoyed a consistent season without making the winners' enclosure.

Trainer David Nicholls will be backed to score in the five-furlong Grant Thornton Handicap. It appeared as all was not well when Handsome Cross finished down the field on his last outing at Musselburgh, and this may be the opportunity to reverse the form on several of the other entries.

Paparaazi is the form horse in the Heathcotes Handicap and his proven stamina over this trip should see him go close here.

The finale is the Lindop Toyota Handicap and Spring Breeze will stay every yard of the two-mile trip. The final classic of the flat season, the Ladbrokes St Leger, runs at Doncaster this afternoon. Scorpion is confidently expected to take the historic prize. nThe feature race at Bangor-on-Dee this afternoon is the £15,000 Global Betting Exchange Handicap Hurdle run over two miles and one furlong.

Form horse is Monticelli who won at Newton Abbot last time out by three lengths.

Flame Phoenix, trained by Ginger McCain, will find this easier than when meeting Yes Sir over this course and distance last month and represents value.

The meeting begins at 2.25pm with the Betdaq - The Betting Exchange Juvenile Novices' Hurdle. In races of this type, the betting market often proves a good guide. Dennick raced keenly when finishing third to Goldstar Dancer at Cartmel over the Bank Holiday and should improve for that run to go close today.

At the five-day stage, the Bet Eachway At betdaq.co.uk Novices Chase looks a competitive event. Several entries have good recent form, among them is Sachsenwalzer who was an eight-length winner at the last Bangor date.

In The Frame has had a break since finishing second at Market Rasen in July. Philip Hobbs holds entries for Fool On The Hill and Mister Flint. The latter hit a couple of obstacles when winning at a higher-class event last month, and his front-running tactics may prove successful again here.
