A DISABLED rider lived a ‘fairytale’ by winning a national equestrian title.
Alan Clements, from Neston, won the grade IV section of the KBIS British Equestrian Insurance Disabled Rider Dressage Finals at Stoneleigh.
He broke his neck in a motorbike accident and has limited use of one arm, but now rides stallion MJ Fine Art, owned by Jane Howell.
Alan said: ‘I’ve never known a day like this – it was so nerve-racking.
‘But I’ve got a wonderful horse to ride and couldn’t be happier.’
Jane added: ‘Everything came off on the day.
‘The horse was sparkling – it was like a fairytale.’
