A TEAM of Special Olympics footballers have returned from a tour of Belfast where they beat teams from across the UK.

It was Ellesmere Port-based AFC West Cheshire Dynamos’ first overseas trip.

The squad have a range of disabilities and paid for the trip through fundraising events, an Everest climb by head coach Andy Webster and with a Youth Opportunities Fund grant.

Midfielder Jonathan Butler said: “We had a great time in Belfast and we won.”
