The Runcorn thrower won woman-of-the-match awards on both days.

Thomas, who plays for Halfway Ladies' Cheshire Super League team, triumphed 3-1 for the county's B side on Saturday when averaging 20.52 per dart.

This confirmed Thomas's place in the A side for the following day when her fine form continued with another 3-1 win in which she this time averaged 17.75.

Mal Barrow, from Helsby's Robin Hood, was star man for Cheshire Men's B side on day one - scoring at 25.91 per dart in his 3-0 victory.

However, Barrow lost his A-team game on Sunday 3-0, despite averaging 24.61.

England international Ian White, of Runcorn, scored at 27.56 per dart in winning his A-match contest 3-1 but was beaten to the man-of-the-match award by team-mate Stephen Bunting from Warrington, whose one-dart average was an excellent 32.16.

Cheshire B's Kath Conway from Run-corn was beaten 3-2 after averaging 17.67.

Irene Bibby and Ste Whitfield, like Conway part of Halfway's Super League set-up, were reserves.

Cheshire Men A won 9-3 but the B side along with the two women's teams were beaten, giving Hertfordshire a 19-17 aggregate win.
