ROWING: GRANGE School sixth former Fiona Hill rowed her way to a gold medal at the Welsh Indoor Rowing Championships, the fourth race in the 2004-05 Concept 2 British Indoor Rowing Grand Prix series.
Hill is an 18-year-old member of the Grange's rowing squad and her success came in the Junior lightweight category, clocking 8mins 57.9secs.
Meanwhile, Hartford-based athlete Karen Taylor won a silver in the women's Over 30s lightweight class. She was timed at 7:48.4 for the 2,000m distance.
Both women were among 150 competitors at Cardiff. The series moves to Glasgow and Manchester in the New Year.
