BASKETBALL: Chester Wheelchair Jets coach Tim Janvier was honoured with a national coaching medal from Sport England at the Chester Jets match against Sheffield Sharks on Sunday.

He was awarded with the Sport England Coach of the Year award in the Coach of-Disabled Performers category, for his dedication to coaching basketball.

He coaches for an astonishing 55 hours each week, a large proportion of which is devoted to the wheelchair game.

Chairman of Sport England's North West Regional Sports Board, Andy Worthington visited the Northgate Arena to present the medal.

He said: 'Coaches play a crucial role in helping people enjoy and become more talented in sport. We want to make sure that these efforts are recognised.

'Tim has been an inspiration and we are delighted that at such a young age he has already achieved so much.'
