Geoff Selby secured first place in last Wednesday's Knockout Match on Lobol AC's Priory pool as he took 10-17-0 of skimmers and ide, edging out Ian Courtney with a tench and roach mix for 7-12-0 and Maurice Malloy with 5-7-0 of skim-mers and crucians.
The going was harder in Sunday's match on the Golden Nook length of the Shropshire Union canal at Waverton, but Ian Courtney was winner with a 3-7-0 roach and skimmers mix.
Sunday's Willaston AC open match on the Eggbridge length of the Shropshire Union canal at Waverton produced some good weights.
Top spot went to Phil Harvey who took 14-7-0, which included bream to 2-0-0 and roach to 1-0-0 taken to bread, hemp or caster.
