LADIES darts superstar Anastasia Dobromyslova has been given the chance to win a second world title.

The Ellesmere Port-based player – BDO women’s world champion in 2008 – has been handed a bye in the inaugural PDC Women’s World Championships later this year.

The 25-year-old Russian has been given a pass into the last 32 of the Professional Darts Corporation’s new competition and you could challenge her if you enter the qualifiers.

The Unicorn-sponsored event will culminate at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on Sunday, July 25 after the main tournament at Barnsley Metrodome on June 12.

The winner will walk away with a cool £10,000, will be invited to compete in the Grand Slam of Darts and be given a PDC ProTour Card for 2011 and 2012.

It is the first time Dobromyslova has had a realistic opportunity to challenge for a major title since she won the BDO title, but she believes she is getting closer to challenging for one of the main PDC honours against male opponents after beating top 20 player Vincent van der Voort in last year’s Grand Slam of Darts.

“I really want to be women’s world champion again but I also want to make my mark on the PDC against the men,” said Dobromyslova.

“It might sound mad – but five years ago people would have laughed to say a woman would beat a top 20 ranked male.”

To enter the championships you must register for the qualifier at Riley’s Darts Zone in Chester on May 30.

Last week Dobromyslova brought friend and darts legend Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor to Chester to officially open Rileys’ six-lane championship standard Darts Zone. The stare duo played exhibition matches against punters in front of 200 fans.
