ELLESMERE Port celebrated only their second victory of the Cheshire Alliance Division One season on Saturday.

Like their neighbours Groves, the Port have found wins hard to come by since winning promotion last season.

But their recent form has improved and on Saturday they defeated Old Parkonians by four wickets at Whitby Sports and Social Club.

The visitors were skittled out for just 88, with Dwayne Bernard (3-30) and Fahad Khan (3-26) in the wickets.

Ellesmere Port were then rarely troubled as their made their way to a winning 92-2.
