KARTING: Robert Wallace continued his early-season winning ways for Tarporley High School on Saturday by winning class 11 (four stroke) for the fifth successive meeting at Wigan, holding off Calum Murie.

Tarporley drivers dominated in class 14 (85cc Rackets) with three of the first four places going their way, with Will Redman winning, James Warner third and Richard Pover fourth from a grid of 21.

Class 12 (four stroke) proved successful with Luke McLaughlin joint second, followed closely by Mike Booker who was fourth.

Steve Wood, in class 15 Rotax Max, had another very close second place for the fourth meeting running, while class eight (100cc high power) saw the Booker brothers in action with Mike second and Peter third.

In class seven (TKM's), Tom Oliphant had an excellent win with Tom Riley fourth and Ollie Bruce sixth from a grid of 33.

The next race meeting is at the Rye House raceway, near Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, on Saturday, May 21.
