Rugby league club Chester Gladiators are staging a second free taster session for children aged 6-15 on Sunday, February 28.

Last weekend more than 40 youngsters took part in a similar session which included a series of drills covering core skills including passing, tackling, evasion and decision-making with club coaches before playing small-sided games.

The club will be running another free session for children interested in trying the sport at The Cheshire County Sports Club this Sunday from 9am to 10am.

Paul Foster, club development officer, said: "The first taster was very successful and it was fantastic to see so many children having fun playing rugby league.

"The feedback from the parents and the children was very positive and lots of them showed an interest in attending further sessions and playing for the club this season."
