Rugby league club Chester Gladiators will be able to put down even stronger foundations after Chester-based builders Rees Developments extended its sponsorship for another season.
The North West Men's League club is heading into 2016 on the back of a record-breaking season which saw them gain promotion and complete a treble.
And the Gladiators, founded in 2008, made huge strides at junior level too with thriving Tots and Cubs sections for under-5s, teams for U7s, U8s and U9s, and launching a schools' coaching programme.
The support from Rees Developments, which included kitting out the first team with new polo shirts, has helped the club invest in more equipment for the new season enabling them to start two new junior teams.
Gladiators’ club development officer Paul Foster said: "We're extremely grateful to Rees Developments for continuing to back our club and proud to be associated with such a successful Chester business.
"As well as making sure our first team look the part on matchdays, the sponsorship has been a huge help in terms of expanding our successful junior sections and giving more children the chance to play rugby league.
"We've made a real concerted effort to ensure we can continue to build and have a sustainable, long-term future, and Rees Developments has helped us do that."
Rees Developments director and keen rugby fan Vince Rees, who also sponsors Ellesmere Port RUFC , said: "Everyone at Rees Developments is delighted to be involved with Chester Gladiators.
"The club is rapidly expanding and it actively encourages players at all levels, which is why we have been so keen to support them. I am very much looking forward enjoying a long relationship with the club and watching all teams enjoy a successful season."
