PIONEERS have sent out a clear message that they intend to win the Carlsberg UK Open League Premier Division Darts title for a record seventh time.

They doubled their lead to eight points by whitewashing promoted British Lion B. Main challengers Delamere and Rockwood drew.

Top marksman was Dan Smith (Raven A) with 14 and 19-dart legs. Rob Arrowsmith (Delamere) completed a 15-dart leg with a 140 checkout and Pete Boughey (Pioneers) and Neil Tudor (Vine A) hit 16-darters.

John Cooper (Pioneers), Steve Hughes (Lion B), Paul Sheehan (Rockwood) and Pete Galloway (Hawk) hit 18-dart legs and Ricky Busteed (Pioneers) and Steve Wright (Hawk) respective 132 and 134 finishes.

Joey Reade (Vine A) hit 177, while 180s came from Mick Crawley (Lion B) and Rockwood duo Fraser Cooper and Dave Gaf fney.

Amalgamated A's 5-3 win at the Hop Pole sent them top of Division One. ASLEF Leisure hit visitors Crown for seven to move up to second place. They were helped by Cliff Davison, who included a 180 in his 18-dar ter.

Malc Griffin (Amalgamated A) and Liam Herring (Crown) hit respective 19 and 20-dart legs. Adele Probin (Leisure Club), Steve Thelwell (ASLEF) and Phil Scane (Lion A) hit maximums.

Division Two top two are promoted pair Horse Show and Cheshire Cheese, who retained their unblemished records with 6-2 wins over Kings Arms B and Nags Head B. Dave Morris (Coppenhall Leighton) and Frank Hughes (George) won with respective 105 and 100 checkouts.

In Division Three, Cosey Club and Queen's Park GC are six points clear after 5-3 victories over Brunel and Raven B. Adrian Billington (Sydney Arms) and Stuart Bennett (Queens Park) both won in 17 darts.

Division Four leaders LMR Sports B moved eight points clear after their 6-2 win at Captain Webb, while Vine B's 7-1 win at West End A saw them soar to the summit of Division Five. Darren Johnson (Royal Scot) hit a maximum.

In dominoes, Premier Division leaders Delamere drew at Commercial, so Belle Vue's 7-1 win at Raven A moved them up to second spot, one point adrift.

Division One pacemakers Nantwich Road Club were held to a draw by Leisure Club, resulting in their lead being trimmed to a single point.

In Division Two, all the away teams gained big wins. Leading the section are Kings Arms A and Woodside, who whitewashed bottom pair George and LMR Sports A.

In Division Three, promoted pair Cosey Club and Queen's Park GC are separated by a point at the top, while four points cover all teams in Division Four. In Division Five, top two West End A won 5-3 over Vine B.
